Kathleen Bellamano

Social Worker, Victoria, British Columbia

I have been working in family dispute resolution since 2003. I completed my parenting coordination training in 2008 and have been a member of the BC Parenting Coordinator Roster Society since 2014. I have a Master of Social Work with a Clinical Specialization and I am certified with Family Mediation Canada as a Comprehensive Family Mediator and as a Chartered, Mediator, Chartered Arbitrator and Chartered Med-Arbitrator with ADR Canada. I have a private practice in dispute resolution and social work and volunteer as a restorative justice facilitator. My area of focus is working with families and groups with complex circumstances such as high conflict, trauma or mental health challenges, concerns regarding power imbalances or family violence, parent child contact problems, international or interjurisdictional issues, addiction, involvement with the legal system or intercultural issues. My parenting coordination work focuses on making durable resolutions in ways that will minimize costs, promote effective communication and support children. I use web-based video conference and teleconference options as well as email when appropriate to minimize cost and maximize efficiency.
