Marge is a Collaborative Family Lawyer, Mediator, Arbitrator and Parenting Coordinator. She also acts as a Consultant on international cross-border family matters.
Marge has undergraduate degrees from the University of Guelph and the University of Toronto and obtained a JD, magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University of Law in 1989. Marge transitioned to family law from civil trial work, including legal malpractice defense. She was qualified as a Certified Specialist in Family Law by the State Bar of California and has acted as a Pro Tem Judge in California. She has been adjudicating and mediating family related disputes for fifteen years. Marge returned to Victoria, BC and was called to the BC Bar in February, 2010. She is an instructor for the BC Professional Legal Training course, a Director and Charter Member of the BC Collaborative Roster Society and the Association of BC Family Dispute Arbitrators. She frequently lectures on Arbitration and Mediation/Arbitration.
