Who should attend: Although this course is designed to become an accredited family law arbitrator, it would also qualify for other lawyers looking to become an arbitrator. It also qualifies for lawyers and mental health professionals wanting to do Parenting Co-ordination, and financial professionals who want to offer arbitration services to their clients.

Learning level: All levels

This 40-hour workshop is designed to satisfy the educational requirements of the Family Law Act and Regulations for those wishing to practice as family arbitrators or parenting coordinators. The lectures, exercises, and roleplays will enable lawyers and other professionals wishing to attend the opportunity to develop the skills to conduct family law arbitrations in accordance with the new act. Practicing arbitrators will participate as guest lecturers and coaches.

Please note: This course is offered remotely through a Zoom platform. A device equipped with a camera and microphone will be required to participate.
